What is Protein Pints?

What makes Protein Pints different from other traditional ice creams?

Full of flavor for an indulgent experience, while low in sugar for guilt-free enjoyment. You’ll notice “Natural Flavors” is missing from the ingredient list because we believe in telling you everything that’s in the ice cream without any tricks.

Does Protein Pints help with weight management and/or muscle recovery?

How much protein is in each pint?

Protein Pints can be part of a sensible diet and help you add more protein to your day. With 30g of bioavailable protein per pint along with other nutrients, reaching your goals has never been sweeter.

What type of protein is used in Protein Pints?

While most of the protein is from whey protein, the milk, egg yolk, and even cocoa are contributors. Our whey protein is sourced from Midwestern dairy farms in the United States. We chose whey protein isolate, which has most of the lactose removed, to pack our pints full of bioavailable protein and still have great flavor and texture.

Do you use artificial colors or dyes?

No, we do not use any artificial colors, dyes, or ingredients in our products. Any flavors with colors are from completely natural sources such as beetroot, spirulina, and beta carotene.

How do you have 85% lower sugar on average than traditional ice cream?

Allulose and monk fruit are used instead of sugar (sucrose) This reduces the amount of sugar that your body metabolizes for energy while still providing a satisfying sweetness. While allulose is a sugar that occurs naturally, our bodies don’t use it for energy creation, and some evidence suggests it may improve gut function. We also add tapioca syrup, a source of glucose and maltose which our bodies do metabolize for energy. This balance of sweeteners provides a superior enjoyment for your mind and body.

Are all of your flavors really made with only natural ingredients?

Yes! We flavor our pints with only the named ingredients like cocoa, strawberries, peanut butter, mint oil extract, and butter and molasses in the case of Cookie Dough. To support and enhance these flavors in our protein-rich base, we use pure vanilla extract. Hiding behind “Natural Flavors” doesn’t foster full transparency, so we avoid this trick and show you what is actually in the flavors!

Is Protein Pints gluten-free?

Yes, all of our flavors are gluten-free!

Where can I find Protein Pints in stores?

You can find a store near you by using our store locator.

Can I eat Protein Pints on a keto or low-carb diet?

Very likely, yes! Our net carbs per serving range from 6-8g. For many, this can fit into your macros while remaining true to your diet discipline.

Is Protein Pints vegan or dairy-free?

No, all our flavors contain dairy at this time.

Can I purchase your pints online?

Not at this time. This is something we may offer in the future.

How do you calculate net carbs?

Total carbs - Fiber - Allulose = Net Carbs

When and where was Protein Pints founded?

Protein Pints was founded in 2022 in Hudsonville, Michigan.

Are there seed oils?

No, there are no seed oils in Protein Pints in the conventional sense (no oils from soy, canola, rapeseed, safflower, sunflower, corn, or rice bran, etc which oxidize easily in their concentrated and refined form. For full transparency, we do use coconut oil in our choco flakes. There is cocoa butter in the cocoa powder, and cacao is technically a seed. We use almond flour in our cookie dough pieces, and almonds are also a seed.
